La Bohème
This summer I had the amazing opportunity to interpret the role of Musetta in Puccini’s masterwork “La bohème.” It was a life-changing experience as my first young artist’s program and operatic debut.
Watch the full performance.
Words cannot express the level of gratitude that I hold in my heart for all of the wonderful people that were a part of this production. Our artistic director, Joshua Collier, was able to take this immortally famous piece of music, theatre, and literature and give it a new breath of life. Our maestro, Cailin Marcel Manson, guided us effortlessly through what many would consider to be one of the most beautiful operas to have ever been written. Every character has their own story to tell, and the story of La Bohème is one of friendship, love, and loss.
I hope that you enjoy this love letter addressed to the bohemian life.
Chi il bel sogno di Doretta
While in Cesenatico the cast of Opera al Mare gave a concert of arias to the Italian public. My voice instructor, Scilla Cristiano, encouraged me to present this famous piece from Puccini’s “La Rondine.” This opera has always been a favorite of mine, and I was moved to tears by how warmly it was received. I’ll be the first to say that the role of Magda is not for the faint of heart - and it will be several years before I take it on. My voice is young, but I feel excited to know that Magda will be waiting for me when I’m older and in my prime. Enjoy!
